DRILL-CUTTING CHARACTERISATION

BP NORGE (2011-2012)

CHALLENGE: to complete a drill-cutting mound of part of the Valhall Oil Field BP NORGE showing depths of penetration approaching 2m and sample recovery never achieved before. Drawing on our expertise and using new combinations of innovative technology – including the Stinger AS – the project was completed in two phases requiring two field seasons and two vessel campaigns.

Involving Senior Management at key stages helped us ensure the critical-path work scope was achieved.

OBSERVATIONS:
There was a great sense of achievement when this project was brought to a positive fruition. We were praised on the quality of our environmental survey.
